A FOR EACH loop with a join can error out with "record not on file (138)" running a FOR EACH with join, if the WHERE clause on the right-hand buffer returns no records.

    FIELD ParentID AS CHARACTER
    FIELD IsSelected AS LOGICAL
    INDEX i1 IS PRIMARY UNIQUE ParentID.

CREATE ttParent.
ASSIGN ttParent.SomeID = 1001
       ttParent.OtherID = "SomeValue".
    
CREATE ttChild.
ASSIGN ttChild.ParentID = "SomeValue"
       ttChild.IsSelected = FALSE.
