There are two "networks" that a Device can reside in WhatsUp Gold. All Devices reside within the Discovered Network, even if they are not being monitored.  Devices being monitored will also reside in My Network (which you may also hear referred to as the "Monitored Network").  

NOTE: Deleting a Device from Discovered Network that also exists in My Network will have no effect; you will see it reappear in Discovered Network shortly after attempting to delete it because it is still being monitored.

To completely remove the device from WhatsUp Gold's inventory, you will have delete it within My Network and select the option to also remove it from the Discovered Network. The steps in the Resolution section below describe how to fully remove the device.

Alternatively, if you only delete the Device from My Network, but not also Discovered Network, WhatsUp Gold will cease monitoring it but it can still be located in the Discovered Network where it can be selected and re-added to My Network to begin monitoring it again.

Deleting a Device from My Network will also remove it from any Device Groups.

Only Devices found in My Network count toward the Device Count for Licenses that have a Device limit for monitoring. You can review your Device Count under Help > About.

1. Locate and Select the Device you want to delete in My Network. This can be done in either the Device List or Display Map views. Right Click on the Device and select Delete Device from the menu.
   
   
   
   
   1. If needed, you can also select multiple devices to delete at one time.
      
      
      
      
2. A prompt will come up asking to confirm the delete action. Check the box next to 'Also remove devices from the Discovered Network' to completely remove the device(s). Otherwise the device(s) will only be removed from My Network. Click OK to complete deleting the device(s).
