Decision Services listed on Admin Console and Web Console are different if Corticon Server is started via Windows Service when compared to executing startServer.bat on command prompt

How to make both these methods of starting Corticon Server list the same set of decision services on the console?


 

This is expected behavior. The decision services listed are different because the CcServerSandbox location in each technique used to start the server is different.

Configuring the server to start as a Windows Service changes the CORTICON_WORK_DIR to <Corticon_Install_dir>\Server\pas\bin and CcServerSandbox directory is created here.

However when using startServer.bat on the command prompt to start the server, the CORTICON_WORK_DIR is located at C:\users\xxxxx\Progress\CorticonWork_5.5 . The CcServerSandbox directory is located at C:\users\xxxxx\Progress\CorticonWork_5.5\SER

To make the Windows Service start technique show the same set of decision services on the console (Admin Console or Web Console) as the command prompt start , it must be ensured that the CcServerSandbox directories used are the same.

Steps:

a] Stop the Server, if running (Windows Service) 

b] In a Corticon Command Prompt, execute the following commands :
tomcat7 //US/_Corticon_ ++JvmOptions="-DCORTICON_WORK_DIR=C:\\users\\xxxxx\\Progress\\CorticonWork_5.5" 
tomcat7 //US/_Corticon_ ++JvmOptions="-DCORTICON_SETTING=SER" 

c] Set com.corticon.ccserver.sandboxDir=C:/Users/xxxxx/Progress/CorticonWork_5.5/SER/CcServerSandbox in the brms.properties located in CORTICON_WORK_DIR
