Cause

The package name "rest" is missing before the class name. This caused errors because the class is referenced as "CLASS rest.<class_name>" in the class file

Resolution

Add the package name "rest" is before the class name:

1. Change the code in line 17

from:

@program FILE(name="<class_name>.cls", module="AppServer").

to :

@program FILE(name="rest.<class_name>.cls", module="AppServer").

2. Recompile the code where the AppServer is running outside the PDSOE

3. Re-publish it to create a new .war file for the REST service

4. Stop the Tomcat 7 on the Server machine

5. Re-deploy the .war file

6. Restart the Tomcat

7. Verify that the .war file is extracted. The folder contents of the REST service should have r-x (if UNIX/LINUX) for others.

8. Run the application again.
