Assigning icon CSS to file extensions

  • Assigning icon CSS to file extensions
  • Thanks for your time. I am wondering if it is possible somewhere in Sitefinity Administration settings to add associations for uncommon file extensions? For example if we have users uploading .xlsm files, they appear as blank white page icons but in fact this is something Excel will open, so we should be able to associate it in a config collection somewhere, right?

    Hi Luke,

In Sitefinity there are predefined icons for certain file types. However for some extensions like .xlsm there is no icon defined in our assemblies.
However you can create your custom icon to be displayed for the .xlsm documents as shown in this short video.

The image file used in the video is attached to this message for your reference.
