Dear,
I am testing the EVAL version of 11.7 for 32-bit and 64-bit.
My 32-bit installation is ok but the 64-bit stops in step 1 of 3.
You can find my response.ini attached(EVAL keys removed)
[View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/19/response_5F00_dlc117_5F00_64bit.ini:61:39]
- ProductName-0=Progress Dev Studio OE
- ProductName-1=OE Enterprise RDBMS
In the logging of the silent installation you can find next info. Somebody an idea?
[Installshield] Version=22.0.0.330 [Application] Name=OpenEdge Version=11.7 Company=Progress Software [CompletedEvents] Event7=[4-5-2017 15:18:57] The Setup Utility has checked the system requirements. Event8=[4-5-2017 15:18:57] The Setup Utility has copied the support files. [ResponseResult] ResultCode=0 ResultDescription=Installation completed successfully.
I started back from zero, checking everything and the problem was that the response file couldn't be accessed...
So the silent installation works like a charm!!
Was a little bit mislead by the log file but this may not be an excuse :)
Hi Kevin,
This scenario should work, there might be something specific in your environment that is causing this. Can you please provide few more details which can help us in debugging this issue? Did you generate a fresh license file? Did you try on different machines? Anything peculiar with your OS or system configuration?
Regards,
Ramadevi
Dear Ramadevi,
I created a fresh reponse file.
I tried it on 2 different machines: 1 VM 1 laptop
After the installation there are 0 files installed in the installation directories.
But now when I'm running the installation again I get other log files:
[View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/19/0385.Install.log:10:10]
[View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/19/Install2.log:10:10]
Hi Kevin,
Sometimes we see this issue, if the registry is not cleaned properly. Can you please give a try after cleaning your registry entry 'PSC directory' under WOW6432Node and post your observations.
Thanks,
Ramadevi
