Migration (v7 to v9)

  • Currently our company's in-house application system is developed under Progress v7. We developed the system under Windows 800 x 600 small fonts. When we try run the screen in v9, the font size is very small. We have already tried to edit the Windows Registry (Migrating to v9:Windows 16-bit to 32-bit - White Paper), but the fonts is still very small. For those which we

developed under Windows 640 x 480 small fonts, the fonts in v9 is OK after we edit Windows Registry.

Herewith, is there any other solutions ?

    Thanks !

  • T.C.,

The issue could be because the application is using Pixel units instead of Character Units, please refer to the Progress Portability Guide, Section: 3.4.2 Character Units and Pixels

You can find additional information in our Knowledgebase (Tip, search by words: PPU)

    Hope this helps,

    Salvador
