Our Salesforce admin just created the first field in Salesforce that is the "multi-select picklist" data type. The only one in our entire instance. In Progress DataDirect, this field appears as a VARCHAR(4000) field. When I try to download this using SQL Server Integration Services, I get conversion errors on about a quarter of the records ("The data value cannot be converted for reasons other than sign mismatch or data overflow."). The funny thing is, it's not giving an error on any of the records that have this field filled out - those come through OK. It's a bunch of blank records that are giving the conversion errors (and are getting shunted to the error flow / table). Remove the field, and the process runs smoothly and with no errors. Has anyone else run into similar issues with a Salesforce multi-select picklist using DataDirect? If so, what did you do to solve it?
