Unable to get the table data through Postman from DataDirectCloud

  • Unable to get the table data through Postman

    I have created Datasource for Salesforce as well as postgres in datadirectcloud. When I open SQL testing, I am able to see all tables for salesforce as well as postgres. But when I use postman, I am unable to see the tables in in response data.

    I am getting the reponse always as below.

    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

    <service
    xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2007/app" xml:base="https://service.datadirectcloud.com/api/odata/SFDC"
    xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom"
    xmlns:app="http://www.w3.org/2007/app">
    <workspace>
    <atom:title>Default</atom:title>
    </workspace>
    </service>

    I have followed the below tutorial

    Please help me.

  • Can you share what you entered for the schema map on the OData tab for your Salesforce data source?  My guess is there is something a little wrong in this JSON string leading to an empty model.

  • Hi, I have used below string for Salesforce and Postgres

    Salesforce:

       {"schemaName":"SFDC"}

    PostGres:

       1. {"schemaName":"MyDatabase","includedTables":["films1"]}

       2. {"schemaName":"MyDatabase"}

    Please help me to resolve the issue. I can be available on the call if required.

  • Hi,

    Salesforce :

    Can you confirm that SFDC is a valid schema name in your Salesforce.com?

    You can find the schema name using the SQLTesting tool in D2C. See screenshot of my env :

    Please try to create a new Salesforce D2C datasource with the correct schema name for OData Schema Map . E.g. : OData Schema Map = {"schemaName":"SFORCE"}

    Postgresql :

    >> 2. {"schemaName":"MyDatabase"}

    Am I correct that you are providing the database name (MyDatabase) instead of a schema name in your string?

    You can find the correct format for the JSON string for the OData Schema Map parameter in our online manual :

    http://documentation.progress.com/output/DataDirect/DataDirectCloud/index.html#page/odata/enabling-odata-access-for-a-data-source.html#

    Can you create a new PostgresQL data source in D2C providing the correct format, so {"schemaName":"schemaName"}

    Please let us know the results.

    Thanks,
    Davy

  • The Salesforce driver requirew SFORCE as the schema name.  I am pretty certain the use of SFDC is incorrect and would result an empty model.

  • Hi Harinath,

    Were you able to resolve your issue?

    Thanks,
    Davy
