In order to establish an ODBC connection to a Progress Database on Version 9 the ODBC client machine will need the following software:
Progress Client (ProVision, 4GL, Client Networking) provided by Progress Software Corporation. The ODBC driver is included in this version of Progress. It can be seen in the Windows Control Panel -> Data Sources -> Drivers as:
MERANT 3.60 32-BIT Progress SQL92 v9.x
In order to connect to the Progress database, the application must be able to recognize the Data Source defined in Windows. |
