Compression functionality was implemented for the OpenEdge 10.2A product starting with the 10.2A03 Service Pack.

Please note that this compression functionality only works with AppServers configured for either the State-Reset, State-Aware or Stateless operating modes. Support for compression for State-Free AppServers is being added in OpenEdge 11.
