Question/Problem Description

Unable to verify records are deleted.
Deleting large number of records containing blobs.
VST's show no growth in the RM chain.
Blobs are stored in TYPE II Areas.
proutil dbname -C dbanalys does show growth in the number of RM blocks.
RM chain does grow when viewed in dbanalys.

Resolution

To see the growth of the RM chain when when deleting blobs in TYPE II Area's a dbanalys report must be taken before and after deleting the records from TYPE II Areas.

Comparing the number of blocks reported for the RM chain in the two reports for the Storage Area of concerned, will show that records were removed and the space is available for reuse.
