Access Agent license install fails with an Identical Products message.

Two Enterprise RDBMS licenses with different Serial Numbers

Enterprise RDBMS licenses have different license types:
  • Unit Type: Concurrent users or Named Agent
  • Unit Type: Access Agent
The Concurrent users or Named Agent license is already installed on the server.
 
Steps to Reproduce
Clarifying Information
Error MessageThe Installation Utility has detected that you have entered duplicate product information. The following product configuration data will not be accepted:

Cause
Access Agent licenses are not used for installation purposes but rather for licensed user record keeping

There are different licensing models:
  1. The database license covers the normal or know users, which needs to be installed.
  2. The Access Agent license covers users who connect less than 2 hours a week and unknown users.
If further clarification on Licensing Models are needed, please contact your Regional Progress Sales Representative:
Resolution
Do not install the Access Agent licenses from the License Addendum sheet. 
License addendum licenses need to be preserved for licensed user record keeping and audits.
