Yes, IBM Java8 on AIX creates symbolic links. When the installation is network/local installation and copied the installation to $DLC/jdk and $DLC/jre folder, all these symbolic links will not have valid references. So before working with IBM Java8 make sure that the below files are having valid references.

$DLC/jre/lib/management/jmxremote.access
