Question/Problem Description
AppServer broker hangs after a manual change in DLC\properties\ubroker.properties

Appserver hangs after mergeprop is performed while Adminserver is online

no errors in any of the adminserver, appserver, or nameserver logs.

asbman -stop hangs

clients error with (9407)

Enhancement Number
Cause
Problem occurs when allowRuntimeUpdates=1 and a warm restart is performed. A warm restart will be performed anytime the ubroker.properties is changed while the adminserver is online.
Resolution
Upgrade to 11.5 where the defect is fixed or kill the appserver broker process and restart.
Workaround
set allowRuntimeUpdates=0 and then modifications to the ubroker.properties file and the subsequent warm restart will not result in this behavior.
