An enhancement has been requested, but -B2 (Alternate Database Buffer Pool) is not implemented for a target databases at the time of writting.
As stated in the current Documentation sets:
OE Data Management: Database Administration -> Maintaining and Monitoring Your Database -> Managing Performance -> Alternate Buffer Pool -> Allocating Alternate Buffer Pool
"You cannot specify Blocks in Alternate Buffer Pool for a Replication target database".Against TARGET replication enabled database:
-
Starting the target database ignores the -B2 parameter when specified.
-
The target.lg file and promon will show that 0 B2 buffers were allocated.
-
Enabling with "proutil target -C enableB2" does not work for areas of a replication target database, 10356 error.
-
When configured and enabled on the source database, -B2 is ignored for the target OE Replication database
Arguably one may want -B2 on target (ERO) to be different to -B2 on source (OLTP), which would mean differences in the schema on target/source .df which is why it has not been implemented in the product to date. If interested in this Enhancement log an enhancement request stating the Enhancement OE00211272 above together with your requirements.
